Velocity. Parameter Velocity describes the TCP velocity that is most used in your application in m/s. In the drop- down menu there are velocities ranged from 0.1 m/s to 1 m/s, increasing with step of 0.1 m/s. For selecting the velocity that is not in the options, select closest available as presented in the following examples:
Velocity. DRH has represented to the Town that its business model requires utility, roadway and building inspections to occur at or approximately at the time of construction, a time frame that the Town does not have the ability to meet at present staffing levels.
Velocity. The time rate of motion; the distance traveled divided by the time required to travel that distance. critical velocity: a) The maximum swimming speed that a fish can sustain over a specified distance or length of time, or the maximum water velocity against which a fish can sustain a position over a specified length of time; b) The velocity in a channel at which flow changes from laminar to turbulent; c) Velocity through which a fish will not swim, creating a velocity barrier. fish velocity or focal point velocity: Represents the velocity at the location occupied by a fish, measured at the fish's snout. Syn: Snout velocity, facing velocity. mean column velocity: The average velocity of the water measured on an imaginary vertical line at any point in a stream. A measurement at 60 percent of the depth, measured from the surface, closely approximates the average velocity for the water column. In water greater than 76 cm (30 in) in depth, the average of measurements made at 20 percent and 80 percent of the depth approximates the mean column velocity. mean cross sectional velocity: Represents the mean velocity of water flowing in a channel at a given cross-section. It is equal to the discharge divided by the cross-section area of the cross section. profile: A curve representing the velocity of flow along a given line. swimming velocity: See Swimming speed. thalweg velocity: The mean column velocity at the thalweg. V-notch: a) Narrow, steep-sided ravine or valley with V-shaped cross-section whose bottom usually contains a watercourse; b) A type of xxxx containing a V-shaped notch used for gauging discharge in small streams.
Velocity. The design bypass pipe velocity should be between 6 and 12 ft/s for the entire operational range. If higher velocities are approved, special attention to pipe and joint smoothness must be demonstrated by the design. To reduce silt and sand accumulation in the bypass pipe, pipe velocity must not be less than 2 ft/s.
Velocity. In the most common usage, the number obtained when GNP is divided by money supply. As such, it represents the number of times per year that each dollar in the money supply is spent on goods and services. Volatility Measures the variation of bond returns and/or interest rates over a set time period. It can be integral to pricing many issues with call options.

Velocity. Where time-of-travel data is not available, the equation: V=0.127 (Qact)0.69 (Slope) 0.1 (Qavg.)0.24 will be used to estimate stream velocities. In the above equation: • V is velocity in ft/sec., • Qact is the actual modeled stream flow in cfs • Slope is the average stream slope of the reach to be modeled in ft/mile, and • Qavg is the average yearly stream flow in cfs. If V calculated is less than 0.1 ft/sec assume V to equal 0.1 ft/sec. The above equation was developed from actual time-of-travel data taken on streams in Region IV and will continually be updated with intensive survey data. or V= 0.144 (Qact) 0.4 (Slope) 0.2 -0.2 • Depth Depth should not be used unless it has been accurately measured for the given stream.
