Vehicle Interior Clause Samples
The Vehicle Interior clause defines the standards and requirements for the inside components and features of a vehicle. It typically covers aspects such as the condition, cleanliness, and functionality of seats, dashboard, controls, and other interior elements, often specifying that these must be free from damage and excessive wear. This clause ensures that the vehicle's interior meets agreed-upon quality and usability standards, thereby protecting both parties from disputes over the vehicle's condition at the time of delivery or return.
Vehicle Interior. Contractor shall maintain the vehicle interior in good condition. It shall be free of exhaust fumes and deposits from the engine or engine compartment. Contractor shall also ensure all corners and seams are securely fastened to the floor at all times and the doors, stop notification devices, and public address system work properly. For all City-owned vehicles, the driver’s area shall be clean at all times. Driver’s personal property shall be kept in a secure area and out of sight. Driver’s seat shall be maintained in accordance with the standards stated below for passenger seats. Contractor shall check interior for damage and clear of trash at the conclusion of each service day. Contractor shall not attach or place any markings on the interior of the vehicle without written permission of the City. Contractor shall perform the following maintenance daily: • Sweep clean and remove all trash, gum, sticky substances, foreign objects, vermin, dirt and dust. • Clean driver area, including but not limited to, dash controls, dashboards, above the driver area and along the front dashboard, so as to be free of dust, stains, or grease. • Clean all interior and exterior windows, removing dust, fingerprints, smudges, writing, water spots, and streaks. • Clean passenger seats to the extent they are dust free and free of all foreign substances. • Clean all ledges, stanchions, handrails, modesty panels, passenger signal strip and remove dust, grease, gum, or sticky substances. Contractor shall perform the following interior maintenance each weekend on all City-owned vehicles: • Remove graffiti from all interior surfaces of the vehicle. • Repair or replace damaged schedule brochure displays/holders. Contractor shall perform the following interior maintenance quarterly on all City- owned buses: • Shampoo fabric seats. • Steam clean flooring and paneling.
