URBAN RUNOFF Sample Clauses

The Urban Runoff clause addresses the management and control of water that flows over urban surfaces, such as streets and parking lots, during rainfall events. It typically sets requirements for how stormwater must be collected, treated, or diverted to prevent pollution, flooding, or damage to municipal infrastructure. For example, it may require the installation of drainage systems or the use of permeable materials in construction projects. The core function of this clause is to mitigate the negative environmental and infrastructural impacts of urban runoff by ensuring proper handling and compliance with local regulations.

Material stockpiles shall be covered within 1 hour of stockpiling the material until the material is either used or removed. .5 No washing of construction vehicles shall be allowed on or adjacent to the Site. .6 Drainage controls shall be utilized as needed, depending on the extent of proposed grading and topography of the Site, including, but not limited to the following: (i) detention ponds or sedimentation ponds; and (ii) dikes, berms or ditches; and (iii) down drains, chutes or flumes.
