Upon Move-In Clause Samples

The "Upon Move-In" clause defines the rights and responsibilities of the parties at the moment a tenant takes possession of a rental property. Typically, this clause outlines procedures such as the delivery of keys, the completion of a move-in inspection, and the documentation of the property's condition. It may also specify when rent payments begin and what obligations the tenant must fulfill immediately upon occupancy. The core function of this clause is to establish a clear starting point for the lease, ensuring both landlord and tenant understand their duties and the property's status at move-in, thereby reducing disputes over property condition or rent commencement.
