Unity of Invention. 1. Only one patent may be requested per application and there shall be only one patent per invention. 2. A single application may relate to various inventions so linked as to form a single inventive concept. 3. The applicant may, at any time prior to the examination phase, modify the application, divide it into two or more applications, provided that the modification shall not go beyond the information contained in the initial application. 4. Each divisional application shall benefit from the filing date and, if applicable, the priority date, of the initial application.
