Unit Installation. A. Place the first course of units directly on the wall base. Check units for level and alignment. Units shall be within 1/8 inch of level from end to end and from front to back. Adjacent units should be in contact. If possible, begin placing units at the lowest section of the wall.
B. Fill all voids between and within the blocks with granular unit fill. Additional unit fill is not required behind the units, but may be placed for the convenience of the contractor.
C. Place backfill behind the units in maximum loose lifts of 8 inches and compact. Compact all backfill to a minimum of 95 percent of the maximum dry density (ASTM D698, Standard ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇). Place backfill in successive lifts until level with the top of the facing unit.
D. Remove all excess aggregate and other materials from the top of the units before laying up the next course.
Unit Installation. A. The requisite installation operations shall be carried out by MGTES personnel under management and supervision of Ener1 engineering supervisors.
A. The following general and visual inspections shall be performed on site by Ener1 engineering supervisors at the time the equipment is installed. An Ener1 engineering supervisor shall prepare and submit report documentation to MGTES for each of the following items:
1. Visually inspect the exterior and interior of all Unit systems for signs of damage, cleanliness, and foreign objects.
2. Install and assemble all battery modules and other items within the container. If each Unit includes multiple containers, install interconnecting wiring, raceways, ducts, and piping.
3. Verify control, monitoring, and power wiring terminations for correct routing, support, termination, and tightness.
4. Verify sizing and connection of field installed power and ground conductors.
5. Verify that the installation conforms to factory drawings, requirements, and procedures.
6. Verify control logic revision level and verify correct software set points.
Unit Installation i. Reasonably work with You to minimize aesthetic impacts to Your Home.
ii. Take reasonable steps to schedule Sunverge Battery installation at a mutually convenient date and time.
iii. Notify You prior to installation if the Sunverge Battery design has to be materially changed so that You can review any such changes and choose whether to remain in, or exit, the Program.
iv. Respect Your Property and maintain a safe environment during installation and follow-up inspections and clean up any debris at Your Property caused by Evergy’s installation or inspection activities.
