– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 4.01 The Union shall notify the employer in writing of the name of its Executive Officers, bargaining committee members, grievance committee members and Stewards before the Company shall be required to recognize them.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 6.01 The Company shall recognize and deal with such representatives of the employees as the Union may elect or appoint. Any Union Representative shall, upon obtaining permission of the designated official of the Company have the right to enter the plant, excluding the offices, during working hours, for the purpose of investigating any grievance, or dispute arising out of the administration, interpretation, application or alleged violation of the terms of the Agreement. The Union Representative or representatives in performing such duties, shall not interrupt or delay production.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 3.01 The Company acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint or otherwise select Union Stewards for the purpose of representing employees in the handling of complaints and grievances. There shall be One (1) Xxxxxxx appointed by the Local Union Business Agent for each Company. The Union shall notify the Employer, in writing, as to the identity of the xxxxxxx, and if the Employer disapproves of the said xxxxxxx, the Employer shall notify the Union in writing stating the reasons for such disapproval. If the reason or reasons are acceptable to the Union, a new Xxxxxxx will be appointed by the Union immediately. If not acceptable the Union and Employer will meet to discuss the reasons of disapproval and, if necessary, the grievance procedure will be followed. In the event of a lay off, the xxxxxxx shall be retained provided the said xxxxxxx is willing and immediately able to perform the work.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 1. The Union shall provide written notification to the University of the names of the Union officers and Platoon Representatives, and the shifts they represent. Notice of changes in Union officers or Platoon Representatives shall be provided to the University within one (1) business day from such changes becoming known to the Union, but not later than five (5) business days from the effective date of the changes. It is the intent of the parties that Union representatives shall represent individual Employees on the shift and in the area where the Union representative works to the extent this is possible. In the event no Union representative is on duty, the University shall allow the Employee to notify the Union.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 5.01 a) The Employer agrees upon five (5) working days written notice to grant leave of absence without pay for Union business. Up to three (3) employees, one from each project may be absent at the same time. Permission for such leave will not be unreasonably withheld when less than five (5) working days’ notice is given. Any employee approved for such leave of absence, will suffer no loss of earnings and will be paid by the employer for all hours that would have otherwise been worked according to the posted schedule for the duration of such leave of absence. Such payment to the employee will be fully reimbursed to the Employer by the Union within two (2) weeks from the date of the Employer’s invoice to the Union.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. §2.41 The Employer shall permit a representative of the International Association of Fire Fighters or the New York State Fire Fighters Association to confer with employees during working hours for a reasonable period of time for the purpose of investigating a grievance. Before conferring with an employee, the Association representative shall make his presence and the purpose of his visit known to the Fire Chief, or, in his absence, to the Officer then in command. The Association representative may confer with an employee if the conference will not interfere unreasonably with the performance of the duties assigned to the employees.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 6.01 The Union shall notify the Employer in writing of the name of Xxxxxxx.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 7.01 The Union shall notify the Employer of the names of Stewards. The Union will be entitled up to ten (10) Stewards Metro-wide for the bargaining unit, of whom one (1) shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx, as well as at least one (1) Xxxxxxx per geographic area. The Union recognizes that the Xxxxxxx is an employee of the Employer, and that he/she will not leave his/her work during working-hours except to perform his/her duties under this Agreement. The Xxxxxxx shall first obtain permission from his/her Supervisor before leaving his/her work area. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 5.01 The Employer agrees a Union representative or a xxxxxxx shall be allowed during regular working hours, to meet and explain the function of the Union to each new employee during their first month of employment, and to sign the said new employee into the Union.
– UNION REPRESENTATION AND ACTIVITY. 6.01 The Union shall notify the Employer of the names of Stewards. The Union will be entitled to a Xxxxxxx for the bargaining unit. The Union recognizes that the Xxxxxxx is an employee of the Employer, and that they will not leave their work during working-hours except to perform their duties under this Agreement. The Xxxxxxx shall first obtain permission from their supervisor before leaving their work area. Such permission shall not be unreasonably denied. When a Xxxxxxx employed by the Employer is temporarily absent with permission for the purpose of processing grievances, they shall receive their regular straight- time rate-of-pay during each period of absence.
