Underground Injection. 1. The Tribe must give reasonable assurances that the construction, alteration, operation, maintenance, and abandonment of any underground injection facility will not be harmful to the water resources of the District and will not be inconsistent with the purposes of the Compact. 2. The District shall, independently of the federal authority having jurisdiction over the matter, review requests by the Tribe for installation and operation of underground injection systems in accordance with the provisions of the Manual.
