Treatment process. Treatment proc- esses shall utilize technologies that have been determined to achieve in total a minimum 4-log reduction of Sal- monella bacteria in almonds, pursuant to a letter of determination issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or acceptance by a scientific re- view panel as identified by the Board (Technical Expert Review Panel or ‘‘TERP’’). Such panel shall be approved at least annually by the Board prior to the beginning of each crop year, or as needed during the crop year.
