Transship Sample Clauses

The 'Transship' clause defines the terms and conditions under which goods may be transferred from one vessel or mode of transport to another during their journey to the final destination. Typically, this clause specifies whether transshipment is permitted, under what circumstances it can occur, and who bears the associated risks and costs. For example, it may allow transshipment only at certain ports or require the carrier to notify the shipper in advance. The core practical function of this clause is to clarify responsibilities and manage risks related to the handling and movement of goods during transit, thereby preventing disputes and ensuring smooth logistics operations.
