Transport Drivers. 2.7.1 Employees - Rates of Pay It is further agreed that any Transport Worker carrying out work relating to the Project will be paid, in addition to his/her Award or Enterprise Agreement rate of remuneration, any applicable Project Site Allowance, provided that the driver has had a regular involvement of two (2) hours or more on any day with the project.
Transport Drivers. Highway Transport Drivers shall receive straight time pay for all hours worked in excess of consecutive hours or hours in any one week period. The daily pay will be adjusted by deducting any time absent from work during normal scheduled working hours for personal reasons such as permission for and dental appointments and other leaves of absence. Highway Transport Drivers shall receive time and one-half pay for all hours worked in excess of hours in any one week period: If a layover becomes necessary due to a breakdown or a waiting period, the driver will not consideration for as stipulated in Section beyond the time required to assure the safety of the truck and its contents; If a night's layover occurs because of a breakdown or a waiting period, the driver will be sent to a hotel at the Company's expense; In all cases proof of the cause of the delay may required, and if the delay is caused by the driver's negligence no extra will be paid. A Highway Transport Driver who loses time through an injury, sickness, or disease, where Workers' Compensation benefits are not payable and on producing a medical certificate shall be paid his regular wages until he is eligible for his welfare indemnity; Where Workers' Compensation Benefits accrue on account of injury this will be in lieu of payment of wages by the Company. Transport Drivers. The following conditions shall apply to Transport Drivers. The normal workweek shall be forty-two (42) hours. Except as set out under the heading, "Guaranteed Pay" in Schedule this shall not be construed as a guarantee of either hours of work or pay thereof. All Transport Drivers shall be assigned daily starting times. If a Driver's load is not ready at the assigned time, the Driver may be assigned to other duties including non-driving duties. It is clearly understood that these duties will be of a reasonable nature. In cases of long delay the Driver may elect to not start work and waive any reporting pay but with the permission of the and availability instructions given. The work schedule shall be posted by Wednesday and the bidding process will be completed by Thursday. This schedule will show proposed destinations, which may be altered. The assigned starting times may be altered one (1) hour later per day on each bid start-time. On Friday, the Company may alter the start-time up to two (2) hours later. Transport Drivers will receive a meal allowance payable as a Flat Rate of $8.00 for each day worked per period, prorated for days missed and payable on the first paycheque of the period. Each period the Traffic Resource will submit driver expense reports modified for days missed (vacation, illness) and submitted for payment in the subsequent period. A copy of the changed expense report to be provided to the Driver concerned.

Transport Drivers. Management and drivers recognise that discussions toward building a career path for drivers which benefits the company and employees have taken place over some time without a win-win outcome. Over the life of this Agreement management will consider any proposal for a driver career path which would represent a win-win to both employees and management. It is agreed between the parties that 7 days will be the notice required to be given to Transport Drivers for weekend overtime and public holiday rostering. It is also agreed that the through mutual agreement, as is custom and practice, changes to overtime and public holiday rostering may happen on a daily basis.
