Traditional Management Clause Samples

Traditional Management. ‌ The lifecycle of network service operations involves many variables all of which need to be controlled at the same time. Traditional management was performed mainly with manual intervention; however it has been evolving to become a more strategic and intrinsic aspect of network design, when it is considered as an integral part of the overall solution. Different management approaches have been used depending on the context (situation) and requirements of the network operators. Traditional management approaches, according to [MARTFLAT] may be classified into four different category archetypes: • Centralized • Weakly distributed hierarchical • Strongly distributed hierarchical • Cooperative paradigms To each of these approaches, another important dimension now also needs to be applied: the Open Access (OA) concept, in which the roles of network and service providers are separated and the network provider offers tools and/or interfaces to partition its network into a number of self-contained and virtualized smaller networks, able to be managed by different service providers.
