Tip out Clause Samples
Tip out. The Employer has a mandatory tip-out policy. Servers shall tip-out 4.5% of their daily net food and beverage sales of which 1% shall be tipped out to the bartenders and .60 % to the combined ▇▇▇▇▇▇/hosts classification. Server tip-out includes any applicable Employer deduction for the credit card processing fee associated with the tip. Bartenders shall tipout the same amount as servers less 1% which would otherwise be allocated back to the bartenders on net foods sales. Commencing with the Employer’s June 2019 food and beverage price increase, and any subsequent price increases in any subsequent year of the collective agreement, tip out percentages for servers and bartenders will increase periodically in an amount equal to the increase in menu prices established by the Employer- less 50% of gross increased break even tip out % (see Schedule B – Illustration ( Examples) – Calculating Breakeven Tip out due to Price Increases.) 60 days following the effective date of the price increases. 50% of any increased tip out shall be allocated to the combined hosts and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ classifications, and the remainder to the Employer’s non-bargaining unit restaurant wide tip pool.
