Timelines, Extensions. The limits in days under each section shall be counted as calendar days unless otherwise specified. The number of days indicated at each level shall be considered a maximum. The time limits, however, may be extended or the steps herein waived by the written mutual agreement of the parties. The availability of the union representative does not affect the running of the timelines at any step of the grievance procedure. Failure to file the grievance within the applicable time or by the prescribed manner results in a full and complete waiver and forfeiture of the grievance.
