Common use of Time Off to Visit Doctor Clause in Contracts

Time Off to Visit Doctor. An employee who has been injured at work and has returned shall be granted reasonable paid time off work for necessary visits to her/his doctor for treatment in relation to the on- the-job injury. The payment for such time off shall be conditional upon the Company receiving a doctor’s certificate and confirmation that the Worker’s Compensation Board recognizes the injury as a compensable on-the-job injury. It is the responsibility of the employee to provide the Company with notice of the necessity for leave as soon as the employee knows of the doctor’s appointment. An employee who is injured at work and is unable to continue working shall receive a full day’s pay for the day of the accident.
