Time and One-Half Holidays Clause Samples

Time and One-Half Holidays. Employees who cannot be spared on any of these holidays because of the requirements of the Department will be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times their regular rate of pay in addition to their regular rate of pay for that day. Existing practices regarding holiday scheduling of employees in Unit F (Emergency Communications) shall continue in accordance with the December 23, 2014 memo to all Emergency Communications Department Employees. In the event compensation time is granted for working a holiday, it must be used within two weeks prior to or four weeks following the holiday. (Each holiday is eight hours comp. time.)
