Third-Year Review Sample Clauses
The Third-Year Review clause establishes a formal evaluation process for an employee, typically a faculty member, at the end of their third year of employment. This review assesses the individual's performance, progress toward long-term goals such as tenure, and overall fit within the organization. The process may involve submission of work samples, teaching evaluations, and feedback from peers or supervisors. Its core function is to provide an early, structured assessment to identify strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring both the employee and employer have clarity on expectations and future prospects.
Third-Year Review. 9.3.1 If a faculty member is offered and accepts a second three (3)-year term contract, the third annual review of that individual will involve an additional component: review by and advice from a panel of the regular faculty members who have team-taught with the individual during his/her initial term contract at the College. For the library faculty, the panel will also include all regular library faculty members. For faculty hired to teach in specific programs (see Section 5.2.2) the panel will also include the program director.
9.3.2 This panel will be convened by the ▇▇▇▇ who conducts the third annual review of the faculty member and will occur during the spring quarter of the third year of the faculty member’s initial term contract. The faculty member will meet with the ▇▇▇▇ and review panel to discuss the faculty member’s contributions to the College and to assess those things that, in the judgment of the panelists, the faculty member should address in order to meet the criteria for conversion described in Section 11.3.
1. The panel will review the faculty member’s current portfolio and will provide specific suggestions and strategies for making improvements. The ▇▇▇▇’▇ annual evaluation of the faculty member will summarize the conclusions and recommendations of the review panel.
9.3.3 If necessary to permit the participation of at least four panelists (including the ▇▇▇▇), the Third-Year Review may be delayed and occur during the first year of the faculty member’s second term contract.
