Third Party Software and Services Sample Clauses

The 'Third Party Software and Services' clause defines the terms under which software or services provided by entities other than the contracting parties are used or integrated within the agreement. This clause typically clarifies whether the use of such third-party components is permitted, who is responsible for obtaining necessary licenses, and how updates or support for these components are handled. For example, it may specify that the customer must comply with the license terms of any included open-source libraries or external platforms. The core function of this clause is to allocate responsibility and clarify obligations regarding third-party elements, thereby reducing legal risk and ensuring all parties understand their duties related to external software and services.
