THE 1934 ACT Clause Samples
The '1934 Act' clause defines references to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, a key U.S. federal law regulating securities trading and public company reporting. In practice, this clause clarifies that any mention of the '1934 Act' within the agreement refers specifically to this statute, including any amendments or successor laws. By establishing this definition, the clause ensures consistency and legal clarity throughout the contract, preventing ambiguity about which law is being referenced and applied.
