Termination by Artist Prior to Beginning of Option Period. If, prior to the exercise of an option to extend, the Artist serves notice that he/she wishes to terminate his/her contract at the end of the originally guaranteed period, then the period covered by the option shall not be considered part of the guaranteed engagement period and the contract shall be deemed to terminate at the end of the originally guaranteed period.
