Term Breaks. Residents must get approval from the Residence Life Manager or Campus Xxxx of Students to stay in housing over term breaks (approval requires exceptional circumstance based on work status, athletic requirements, and distance from campus). An additional fee will be charged to Residents who wish to stay over term breaks. Residents whose permanent home address is more than 1,000 miles one way from the College may stay during term breaks at no additional charge. Exception: a daily rate will apply during breaks following the spring and summer terms.

Consents ▪ Excursions: I consent to my child being taken on impromptu walks or excursions on the understanding that adult:child ratios will be maintained at or above the minimum regulated ratios. ▪ Photo/video: I consent to my children being photographed or videoed by, or at the discretion of, Playtopia Educare staff, for purposes of display and use in the centre or private area of Playtopia website only, and for “observations” to be made and recorded by the staff using our secure web based software to assist them in developing a learning programme appropriate for my children. ▪ I give consent for students who may come for training experience at the centre to record written “observations” on my child so long as their full names are not recorded. A necklace can pose two potential hazards: strangulation and choking. Our policy is to remove all necklaces and amber beads before children go to sleep. We do respect families who have pounamu/taonga and these will be treated with care and placed in a named container while the child is sleeping. Parent disclaimer: My child’s pounamu is to be removed by staff while my child is sleeping.
