Tenure Decision. (a) An employee shall normally be considered for tenure during the sixth year of continuous service in a tenure-earning position including any prior service credit granted at the time of initial employment. An employee’s written request for early tenure consideration is subject to the Xxxxxxx'x written agreement. An employee shall normally be considered for tenure only once.

Tenure Decision. (a) A faculty member will normally be considered for tenure during the sixth (6th) year of continuous service in a tenure-earning position, including any prior service credit granted at the time of initial employment.
Tenure Decision. A. An employee shall normally be considered for tenure during the final year of the probationary time established in the written guidelines of the employee’s college. No college shall establish a probationary period less than six (6) years or longer than (8) years. Extension of the probationary period beyond six (6) years will be by means of a vote as established by the college governance document. No non-tenured or non-tenure earning employee should be able to vote on the time limit. The employee must have been in continuous service in a tenure-earning position including any prior service credit granted at the time of initial employment. The tenure clock may be stopped for medical or related reasons for up to one (1) year upon the request of the employee and the recommendation of the supervisor and xxxx/director and upon approval of the appropriate administrator. An employee's written request for early tenure consideration is subject to the University's written agreement.
Tenure Decision. (a) By the end of six (6) years of full-time or equivalent part-time service at the University, including time credited as tenure-eligible service, a faculty member eligible for tenure shall either be awarded tenure by the Trustees or given notice that further employment will not be offered pursuant to the non-reappointment provisions of this Agreement. This shall not apply where the faculty member has been extended additional time pursuant to Section 19.7(a)(6).
Tenure Decision. Upon completion of the tenure process, the President will communicate his/her decision to the faculty member. A positive decision shall result in the issuance of a tenured employment contract beginning with the next academic year. A negative decision may be grieved under the general grievance provisions of this contract. Tenure Decision. Tenure is a guarantee of continuous employment for a full-time Facul- ty member who is a member of the bargaining unit until resignation, retirement or dismis- xxx for adequate cause. A final decision to grant or deny tenure will be made no later than December 1 of the sixth consecutive year of full-time service. If tenure is denied in the sixth consecutive year of full-time service, the member of the full-time Faculty who is a member of the bargaining unit will be granted a terminal full-time appointment for the ac- ademic year after the academic year in which the final decision to deny tenure is made.
