TEMPORARY VENTILATION. A. Ventilate enclosed areas to achieve a curing of materials, to dissipate humidity, and to prevent the accumulation of dust, fumes, vapors, or gases. B. If existing ventilation fans are used during construction, clean fans in areas of work after Substantial Completion.
TEMPORARY VENTILATION. The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate temporary ventilation for the performance of Work required by this specification in all areas where ventilation is required. Pneumatic / Electric Pumps – The Contractor shall provide and maintain adequate portable pumps for the performance of Work required by this specification in all areas where portable pumps may be required. This shall include the supply of electricity and/or compressed air, system/discharge hoses and fluid removal. Sewage Pumping and Disposal – As a part of the securing of the system at the FMF, DOT will pump out the sewage tanks to loss of suction. However, there might be circumstances where the Contractor is directed to pump out the vessel’s sewage tanks. In those instances, the Contractor shall furnish all shore side pumping equipment, storage and disposal facilities. The Contractor, shall pump the sewage tanks and dispose of sewage in accordance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, as directed by DOT. Any such pump out will be reimbursed through Item U301 – Additional Labor, Material, Technical Representatives, and Subcontracted Services.  The vessel’s sewage system will be secured by DOT prior to vessel departure from the Ferry Maintenance Facility (FMF). The Contractor shall ensure that the vessel’s sewage system remains secured and inoperable for the duration of the shipyard period.  Under no circumstances will the vessel’s restroom facilities be used by Contractor personnel at any time during the shipyard period. The Contractor shall provide and maintain sanitary facilities in close proximity to the vessel. If required, portable toilets will be provided adjacent to the vessel. Such toilets, or any other sanitary facility, shall be maintained in a sanitary condition and shall be cleaned on a daily basis. Heat Lamps – The Contractor shall install and maintain infrared heating lamps/strips on all propulsion motors, propulsion generators, ship’s service generators, emergency generators, vital service generators, and propulsion drive cabinets at any time when designated by DOT. When directed to do so for a particular shipyard period, lamps shall be installed immediately upon vessel’s arrival. Heat lamps shall be separately powered from a pier-side power source. The vessel’s electrical systems shall not be used to power heat lamps. Debris and Garbage Removal – The Contractor shall clean the entire vessel on a daily basis.   • Ventilation Where noxious or poisonous gases may accumulate, the City shall provide proper protection and ventilation. Proper lighting and ventilation shall be provided for all enclosed working spaces. All work in enclosed and confined spaces shall be performed in accordance with applicable Federal, State and local regulations. Spray painting shall be done only by qualified painters.

  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Landlord shall furnish to the Premises heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (“HVAC”) in accordance with the Design Standards set forth in Exhibit E during Ordinary Business Hours. Landlord shall have access to all air-cooling, fan, ventilating and machine rooms and electrical closets and all other mechanical installations of Landlord (collectively, “Mechanical Installations”), and Tenant shall not construct partitions or other obstructions which may interfere with Landlord’s access thereto or the moving of Landlord’s equipment to and from the Mechanical Installations. No Tenant Party shall at any time enter the Mechanical Installations or tamper with, adjust, or otherwise affect such Mechanical Installations. Landlord shall not be responsible if the HVAC System fails to provide cooled or heated air, as the case may be, to the Premises in accordance with the Design Standards by reason of (i) any equipment installed by, for or on behalf of Tenant, which has an electrical load in excess of the average electrical load and human occupancy factors for the HVAC System as designed, or (ii) any rearrangement of partitioning or other Alterations made or performed by, for or on behalf of Tenant. Tenant shall install, if missing, blinds or shades on all windows, which blinds and shades shall be subject to Landlord’s approval, and shall keep all of the operable windows in the Premises closed, and lower the blinds when necessary because of the sun’s position, whenever the HVAC System is in operation or as and when required by any Requirement. Tenant shall cooperate with Landlord and shall abide by the rules and regulations which Landlord may reasonably prescribe for the proper functioning and protection of the HVAC System.

  • Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning General Office Area: The building shall be equipped with a combination heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.   • Heating The Hirer shall ensure that no unauthorised heating appliances shall be used on the premises when open to the public without the consent of the management committee. Portable Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG) heating appliances shall not be used.
