Temporary Crew Chief Sample Clauses

Temporary Crew Chief. A Temporary Crew Chief may be selected for a special assignment or a known long term vacancy for a period not to exceed one (1) year, using the Automated Higher Capacity System. The Temporary Crew Chief position will be selected from candidates within the Basic Classification and station where the vacancy exists. The selection of the Temporary Crew Chief will be the same process as a posted Crew Chief vacancy.

Temporary Crew Chief. Employees assigned by the Superintendent to fill in for a road crew xxxxxxx and actually perform such duties for more than one-half (1/2) of the work day shall receive Xxxxxxx II rate. Assignments shall generally be made from employees within that crew. Employees whose job already requires temporary crew leader duties (e.g., hoseman) shall not be eligible for pay under this provision.
