Temporal Bounds. It is not thought that the asbestos levels in duff or tree bark are likely to be highly time-variable in a static environment. Thus, the time of the field sampling effort is primarily dependent upon ease of site access and sample collection (i.e., it is easier to collect samples in the summer than in the winter).
Temporal Bounds. Based on the expectation that the concentration of LA in game tissue will tend to increase over time as a function of the long-term cumulative exposure pattern, it is unlikely that tissue burdens will vary substantially due to short-term fluctuations in media concentrations. Thus, the timing of the game collection is primarily based on ease of sample collection and game permit requirements.
