Technical Score Clause Samples
The Technical Score clause defines the method by which a party's technical proposal or submission is evaluated and assigned a numerical score based on predetermined criteria. Typically, this involves assessing factors such as methodology, experience, qualifications, and compliance with technical requirements, with each aspect weighted according to its importance. The core function of this clause is to ensure an objective and transparent evaluation process, helping to select the most technically qualified proposal and reducing the risk of bias or ambiguity in decision-making.
Technical Score. 28 The Technical Score will be calculated based on the TERC’s total evaluation score for 29 the Technical Proposal (maximum of 1000 points) as described in Section 5.4.2. The 30 Technical Score will be calculated using the following formula: 31 Technical Score = (Proposer’s total evaluation score / Highest total 32 evaluation score) x 30 33 Proposer’s total evaluation score = Proposer’s TERC total 34 evaluation score as determined pursuant to Section 5.4 35 Highest total evaluation score = Highest TERC total evaluation 36 score for a Proposer as determined pursuant to Section 5.4
Technical Score. 33 The TERC will review and evaluate the Technical Proposals with reference to the
1. During the evaluation, the 35 TERC will assign an adjectival rating to each subfactor described in Section 5.4.1. The
Technical Score. During the evaluation, each subfactor as described in section C.5.a above will be assigned a consensus rating by the City of Houston, which will be converted to points. The points for each subfactor will be added to determine the Proposal’s score for each of the corresponding evaluation factors. The score of each of the evaluation factors will then be added to arrive at the total evaluation score for the Project Development Plan, with 100 maximum possible points (see table 4). The best value points for the technical Proposal will be calculated using the formula in Table 2.
