Common use of TEACHER DRESS CODE Clause in Contracts

TEACHER DRESS CODE. The parties hereby agree to form a joint committee whose purpose will be to define the term, "dress in a neat professional manner" as appears in the Board policy (see below) entitled, employee dress and personal appearance," adopted by the Board of Education on November 8, 1993. The committee will consist of a total of six (6) people to include one (1) administrator from each building and one (1) RTA member from each building (to be selected through the RTA internal processes). Decisions of the committee will be made by consensus. The deadline for the committee's recommendation will be the November 1999 Board of Education meeting. The committee's recommendation which has been adopted by the Board is attached hereto. At said meeting, the Board will consider and vote upon the committee's recommendation. All employees of the Ridgedale Local School District are to be groomed and dress in a manner befitting their position and activity. All employees should always act, groom, and dress in a neat and professional manner. Failure of employees to comply with the dress code will be considered a violation of reasonable rules and regulations adopted by the Ridgedale Local Board of Education.
