Common use of Surveyor Clause in Contracts

Surveyor. The Contractor shall utilize a Surveyor for location and mapping efforts requiring this expertise. This individual shall be a licensed Land Surveyor (may be called Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) depending on the state where registered). He/she oversees the survey party and is responsible for all survey work performed under his/her direction, to include checking final field notes for clarity and accuracy and preparing plats and maps.
