Common use of Super Seniority Clause in Contracts

Super Seniority. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, the Union Stewards recognized under this Agreement shall, during the period they hold office, be the last bargaining unit employees laid off from their Department and shall be the first bargaining unit employees to be recalled to their Department, provided each such individual possesses the necessary skill and ability to perform the required work.
