Subway Lines. The PACIS Phase II project includes the installation of hardware and software in the 156 stations that serve the 1-2-3-9, the 4-5-6 and the S train routes, to support a Public Address (PA) and Customer Information Screens (CIS) system. This system is managed and supported at the Rail Control Center (RCC) and remote dispatch locations, and it includes the Travel Information Center (TIC) and an emergency response team. The project also encompasses a pilot project for Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Help Point Intercom (HPI), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) functionality. This pilot functionality will be installed and tested in a small number of stations in the IRT division. The affected subway lines are illustrated in Figure 3-4, on the following page.
