Subcontractor Relations Requirements Clause Samples

The Subcontractor Relations Requirements clause sets out the standards and obligations that a contractor must follow when engaging and managing subcontractors. Typically, this clause requires the contractor to ensure that all subcontractors comply with the main contract’s terms, maintain appropriate qualifications, and adhere to safety and quality standards. For example, it may mandate that subcontractors carry certain insurance or that the contractor obtains approval before hiring them. The core function of this clause is to ensure consistency, accountability, and quality control throughout the project by holding the contractor responsible for the actions and performance of their subcontractors.
