Common use of SUB-CONTRACTOR Clause in Contracts

SUB-CONTRACTOR. Section 1. The Employer shall not contract any work covered by this Agreement to be done at the site of construction, alterations, repairs or any new construction to any person, firm or company that does not have an existing labor agreement or will not sign an agreement with the Union covering such work within the scope of this Agreement. Section 2. This Agreement shall also apply to any work covered by this Agreement that is performed by a joint venture in which the Employer has an ownership interest and the Employer agrees on behalf of any such joint venture in which the Employer has an ownership interest that the joint venture will comply with the requirements of this Article.
