A "Straight" clause typically refers to a provision that requires the full and direct performance of an obligation without any conditions, exceptions, or alternatives. In practice, this means that the party bound by the clause must fulfill their duty exactly as specified, such as making a payment in full by a certain date or delivering goods as described, without the option to defer, offset, or substitute performance. Straight time rate - means the hourly rate of remuneration.
