Storeworker/Driver/Despatch Grade. (2) 1. All of the requirements of a storeworker grade (1); 2. Able to understand detailed instructions and work from procedures; 3. Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision; 4. Responsible for the quality of their own work; 5. Possess sound interpersonal and communication skills; 6. Licensed operation of all appropriate materials handling equipment; 7. Maintain basic equipment by using appropriate tools, which does not require trades knowledge or expertise; 8. Accessing stock by using computer technology; 9. Clerical duties within the warehouse including handling more than two major clerical functions, customer liaison and use of a VDU which involves inputting and accessing information without altering the data base; 10. Checking and assembling orders; 11. Operate fork lift and stock picker as a primary responsibility including the loading and unloading of trucks; 12. Inventory and warehousing control; 13. Be licensed to minimum M R Driving Licence Classification; 14. Have a sound knowledge of the employer’s product. 15. Hold a current first aid certificate. An employee will remain at this level until they are capable of effectively performing the tasks of a higher grade. Promotion to a higher level will depend on assessment by the employer and appropriate qualification, so as to enable them to be selected as suitable for promotion to the next level.
Storeworker/Driver/Despatch Grade. (3) 1. All of the requirements of a storeworker grade (1) and (2); 2. Understand and be responsible for his/her quality control standards and exercise responsibility for the quality control of other employees; 3. Possess an advanced level of interpersonal and communication skills; 4. Possess competent keyboard skills; 5. Perform work without supervision either individually or in a team environment; 6. Checking delivery of inventory into receiving including the following: - preparing documentation for receipt of goods into inventory, - checking received stock against order, - ensuring goods received are of a satisfactory quality; 7. Developing and refining a warehouse layout including proper location of goods; 8. Use of a VDU such as for purposes of maintenance of a deposit storage system information input/retrieval etc. at a higher level than Grade (2) and use of terminal on mobile equipment; 9. Liaison with management, suppliers and customers with respect to the employer’s operation; 10. Implement quality control techniques and procedures.
