STEP 3: WRITTEN PROCEDURE. a) Within five (5) days after receiving the decision of the Superintendent or designee, an appeal along with the reasons therefore from the decision may be made to the Board. The appeal shall be in writing on the form provided and shall be accompanied by a copy of the original grievance and decision at Step 1 and Step 2. b) In not less than five (5) days or more than thirty-five (35) calendar days after receipt of the appeal, a committee appointed by the Board shall hold a hearing on the grievance. Participants in this hearing shall be given at least three (3) days’ notice of the hearing. c) No later than at its next scheduled meeting after the hearing of the appeal, the Board shall communicate its decision in writing on the form provided, together with supporting reasons to the union representative or the aggrieved employee, if any.
