Stated Purposes For Which Business Associate May Use Or Disclose PHI. Appropriate Safeguards. Business Associate shall establish and maintain appropriate safeguards to prevent any use or disclosure of PHI other than as provided for by this Agreement. Appropriate safeguards shall include implementing administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the electronic PHI that is created, received, maintained, or transmitted on behalf of the Covered Entity and limiting use and disclosure to applicable minimum necessary requirements as set forth in applicable federal and state statutory and regulatory requirements and agency guidance.
