The State Consent clause establishes that a state or government entity explicitly agrees to be bound by the terms of a contract or agreement. In practice, this clause may require formal written approval or a specific act of authorization from a designated government official or body before the agreement becomes effective. Its core function is to ensure that the state’s participation is legitimate and enforceable, thereby preventing disputes over whether the state has validly entered into the contract.
State Consent. The Subrecipient shall not enter into any subcontract with individuals or organizations for the purchase of equipment or the procurement of professional services without prior authorization and consent to the subcontract by the State. All subcontracts shall contain all provisions required by state or federal law.
