Standby Pay/Duty -Operations Department. Qualified employee(s) placed on standby duty, shall serve twenty-four (24) hours per day for seven (7) continuous days, which shall be referred to as a standby rotation, in accordance with the following: Qualified employee(s) who have served a full standby rotation shall receive Sixteen (16) hours pay at his regular rate as full allowance therefore. Unless deemed unqualified by the Superintendent, the following employees shall be included in the standby rotation schedule for the Operations Department: A. All employees of the Water Distribution, Streets & Sewer, Maintenance and Garage Divisions. B. No more than one (1) employee will be required to serve the seven (7) continuous days rotation. The City may allow qualified, non-bargaining unit employees to participate in the Operations Standby Rotation Schedule.
