STANDARD USAGE. GRAMMAR, PUNCTUATION, AND CROSS-REFERENCES‌ Throughout the Collective Agreement, the following have been adopted as standard usage in questions of grammar or punctuation: “Or” preceded by “either” shall be used to indicate one of two possibilities; if inclusivity is required “and/or” shall be used. When a number of items are listed consecutively, a comma is used before the “and” that precedes the final item in the list. Frequent cross-references are given in this Agreement. These are given in brackets (e.g., [see: 2.3.1.1, below]). A bolded reference number signifies that the reference is to another article in this Agreement (e.g., [see: 2.4]), while an unbolded number (e.g., [see 2.4, below]) signifies that the reference is to another clause within the same article.

STANDARD USAGE. Business Hours. Tenant shall pay its pro rata share (based upon Tenant's Proportionate Share, but subject to the last sentence of this subparagraph) of the cost to the Building (including applicable sales or use taxes) for the foregoing services during "Business Hours" (as hereinafter defined) and for "Building Standard Consumption" (as hereinafter defined). Such payment shall be made by Tenant within ten (10) days after submission by Landlord of a statement to Tenant setting forth the amount due. "Business Hours" shall mean Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Holidays (defined below) excepted. New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any day set aside to celebrate such holidays are "Holidays" under this Lease.   • Excess Usage If during a Billing Period, In Energy is greater than zero (0), then Excess Usage for that Billing Period will be calculated. If Excess Usage is greater than zero (0), then for the Facility and any secondary account at the conclusion of that Billing Period: (i) kilowatt-hour usage will equal the value of Excess Usage and (ii) Unused Credits are equal to zero (0). If Excess Usage is equal to zero (0), then for the Facility and secondary accounts at the conclusion of that Billing Period: (i) kilowatt-hour usage is equal to zero (0) and (ii) Unused Credits are reduced by the value of In Energy, determined for that Billing Period, and that reduced value, in accordance with paragraph (C) Unused Credits of this Article IV, will remain for possible future application.

  • Leave Usage Full shift absences on vacation, sick leave, compensating time off, or holiday in lieu taken by employees on scheduled ten-hour workshifts shall result in the deduction of ten (10) hours from employees’ accrued leave balances.

  • Local Circuit Switching Capability, including Tandem Switching Capability 4.2.1 Local circuit switching capability is defined as: (A) line-side facilities, which include, but are not limited to, the connection between a loop termination at a main distribution frame and a switch line card; (B) trunk-side facilities, which include, but are not limited to, the connection between trunk termination at a trunk-side cross-connect panel and a switch trunk card; (C) switching provided by remote switching modules; and (D) all features, functions, and capabilities of the switch, which include, but are not limited to: (1) the basic switching function of connecting lines to lines, line to trunks, trunks to lines, and trunks to trunks, as well as the same basic capabilities made available to BellSouth’s customers, such as a telephone number, white page listings, and dial tone; and (2) all other features that the switch is capable of providing, including but not limited to customer calling, customer local area signaling service features, and Centrex, as well as any technically feasible customized routing functions provided by the switch. Any features that are not currently available but are technically feasible through the switch can be requested through the BFR/NBR process.

  • Vacation Usage Each department or agency head shall be responsible for scheduling the vacation periods of their employees in such a manner as to achieve the most efficient functioning of the department or agency and the County service. The granting of a vacation period less than the employee's annual entitlement is to be discouraged so that the full benefit of the vacation plan can be realized by each employee. The appointing authority shall determine when vacations will be taken.

  • Switching System Hierarchy and Trunking Requirements For purposes of routing iNetworks traffic to Verizon, the subtending arrangements between Verizon Tandems and Verizon End Offices shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements Verizon maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic (i.e., traffic will be routed to the appropriate Verizon Tandem subtended by the terminating End Office serving the Verizon Customer). For purposes of routing Verizon traffic to iNetworks, the subtending arrangements between iNetworks Tandems and iNetworks End Offices shall be the same as the Tandem/End Office subtending arrangements that iNetworks maintains for the routing of its own or other carriers’ traffic.

  • Standard Workweek Except as noted below the standard workweek for full-time employees consists of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days, Monday through Friday each week. Non-overtime hours and starting and quitting times for such employees shall be the same throughout the standard workweek. The standard workweek does not apply to the following:
