STAFFING INCENTIVE PROGRAM a. The university will continue to offer critical staffing incentives pursuant to current policy and procedures. b. This subsection ‘b’ is intended only for the ELS specialist assigned to the blended ECMO unit with nursing staff. If, at such time, the Chief Nursing Officer, Associate Chief Nursing Officer, and Clinical Nursing Director have, after reviewing the functional vacancy rate, patient acuity, and excessive patient volume and have determined that a staffing incentive is needed to encourage staff to accept additional shifts beyond their regular appointment, and approved for the nursing staff, the same terms and conditions as offered to the nursing staff shall be extended to the ELS specialist for that unit.
