SPREP Clause Samples
The SPREP clause, which stands for Single Point of Responsibility for Engineering and Procurement, designates a single party as responsible for both engineering and procurement activities within a project. In practice, this means that one contractor or entity is accountable for coordinating design specifications, sourcing materials, and ensuring that all procured items meet project requirements. This clause streamlines project management by reducing the risk of miscommunication between multiple parties and clarifies accountability, ultimately helping to prevent delays and disputes related to engineering or procurement errors.
