Spousal Waiver of Benefits. The Spouse of a Member may waive his or her entitlement to the benefits described in Section 11.01 (Benefits on Death of Member) above by completing a form prescribed by the University, in which event the benefit shall be paid to the Member's Beneficiary, or if none, to the Member's estate in a single lump-sum cash payment. Nevertheless, the Spouse may revoke such waiver, in which event the benefit shall be paid as described in Section 11.01 (Benefits on Death of Member) above.
