Split Shift Allowances Sample Clauses

The Split Shift Allowances clause defines the additional compensation or benefits provided to employees who are required to work split shifts—work periods divided into two or more segments with a significant unpaid break in between. Typically, this clause outlines the conditions under which the allowance is paid, such as the minimum length of the break or the total hours worked, and may specify the amount or method of calculation for the allowance. Its core function is to compensate employees for the inconvenience of having their workday interrupted, ensuring fair treatment and compliance with labor standards.
