Special Provisions When On Shift. (i) Shift work shall not be implemented for a period of three (3) working days or less. If the working period is three (3) days or less, the appropriate premium rate will be paid for the minimum three (3) day period. (ii) Such a placing on shift work shall not deprive an employee of his/her total number of normally scheduled weekly hours. (iii) Shift differential shall apply to employees working the second shift each day and shall not apply for overtime hours. (iv) Work in excess of the total number of normal daily hours as determined in 5.3.8 (d) will be paid at the appropriate overtime rates.
