Special Needs Coordinator. The PH-MCO must employ a full-time SNU Coordinator. Required qualifications for this position are set forth in Section V.N of this Agreement, Other Administrative Components.

Special Needs Coordinator. The Contractor must employ a full-time SNU Coordinator whose qualifications include, among other things; experience with special needs populations similar to those served by Medicaid. The SNU Coordinator must report directly and be accountable to the Contractor's Medical Director and be responsible for the management and supervision of the SNU and SNU staff. The Contractor agrees to notify the Department within thirty (30) days of a change in the SNU Coordinator. See also Section V.M of this Agreement, Executive Management.
Special Needs Coordinator. Individual shall have a minimum of a Master’s Degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Public Health or a related field. Individual shall have a minimum of eight (8) years demonstrated experience both in the provision of direct care services as well as progressively increasing levels of management responsibilities with a particular focus on special needs populations. The Special Needs Coordinator shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with and implementation of requirements for Adults and Children with Special Care Needs related to Care Management, Network Adequacy, access to Benefits, and Utilization Management.
