Special Act Sample Clauses
Special Act. The Parties will seek and support passage of the Special Act. If at the time of application of such provisions the Special Act has not passed and become effective:
(a) any proposed modification to the Master Plan that would substantially change the Master Plan within the meaning of Section 8-136 of the General Statutes shall, in addition to such approvals as may be required under Section 5.05, also require approval by Town Meeting, which may be petitioned or adjourned to Referendum as provided by law;
(b) any transfer of the Property or any portion thereof by MTGA, until the original construction thereon is completed and approved by the PRA shall, in addition to the applicable requirements of Article IX, be subject to the consent of the PRA pursuant to Section 8-137(c) of the General Statutes; and
(c) any future tax agreement authorized by Section 6.03 shall require, in addition to the agreement of the PRA, approval by Town Meeting, which may be petitioned or adjourned to Referendum as provided by law, pursuant to Section 12-65b and/or Section 12-125b of the General Statutes, as applicable.
Special Act. This Act shall be deemed to be a special Act within the meaning of section 18 of the Public Works Act 1928.

(a) the Minister will not certify that the hotel is complete for the purposes of fixing the “opening date” of the hotel as the term is defined in paragraph 1 of Schedule 1 of the Specail Act at any time prior to the Hotel Opening Date under this Agreement.
(b) provided the Resort is managed by a world renowned luxury resort/hotel operator the Developer may apply for a ten (10) year extension of the hotel occupancy waiver and full Custom Duty relief on a second cycle of refurbishment of the Resort and any such applications will be favourably reviewed by Government.
(c) the reference to “sublease” in paragraph 2(1)(l) of Schedule 2 of the Special Act shall be construed as a reference to a Ground Lease as defined herein..

For making a high quality contribution involving a difficult or important project or assignment; displaying special initiative and skill in completing an assignment or project before a deadline; using initiative and creativity in making improvements in a project, activity, program or service; ensuring the mission of an organization is accomplished during a difficult period by successfully completing additional work or a project assignment while still maintaining one's own workload; or demonstrating exceptional teamwork by two or more people working together, or one individual who works well with other team members (Special Act for Teamwork). A narrative justification is required.
