Spare Vehicles Clause Samples

The Spare Vehicles clause defines the terms under which additional or backup vehicles are provided in a contract, typically to ensure continuity of service if primary vehicles are unavailable. This clause may specify the number, type, and readiness of spare vehicles, as well as the conditions under which they must be deployed, such as during maintenance or unexpected breakdowns. Its core function is to minimize service disruptions and allocate responsibility for maintaining operational capacity, thereby ensuring reliability and consistent performance in transportation or fleet management agreements.
Spare Vehicles. The Operator shall ensure that 2 the following number of spare vehicles, which are specified in Schedule IIA Part 1, are available for the provision of the Services.
Spare Vehicles. Contractor will maintain a sufficient number of spare vehicles, fully fueled and ready to dispatch within 3 hours, to repair or replace any vehicle that breaks down on route so that service is minimally delayed.
Spare Vehicles. COUNTY, in its sole discretion, acting through it Contract Administrator may provide spare Vehicle(s) for use by the CITY to perform Community Bus Service. In the event that spare Vehicle(s) are leased to the CITY, Exhibit "D" shall be updated by the Contract Administrator to include the spare Vehicle(s). CITY’s use of any spare Vehicle(s) shall be subject to all terms and conditions of this Agreement.
Spare Vehicles. In order to provide the District with immediate service in the event of vehicle breakdowns, the Contractor will provide an adequate number of spare vehicles, including but not limited to vehicles with lift-gates and other modifications as District deems necessary for the safe transport of wheelchair- bound students and students with other disabilities, with a minimum of ten percent (10%) spare vehicle factor for each type and capacity calculated to the closest whole vehicle, but not less than one (1). Vehicles designated as spare shall not be considered as part of the regular fleet necessary to provide for State mandated safety inspections, and or preventative maintenance. Spare vehicles are to remain idle during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and l: 00 p.m. to 4:30
Spare Vehicles. Franchisee will maintain a sufficient number of spare vehicles, 20 fully fueled and ready to dispatch within 15 minutes, to repair or replace any vehicle 21 that breaks down on route so that customer service is minimally delayed. 22
Spare Vehicles. The Contractor is required to have, at its immediate disposal, at least 1 spare vehicle. Vehicles must be able to carry a minimum of 16 persons and maintained to the previously stated standards. It is the Contractor’s responsibility to ensure that sufficient fleet vehicles are available to meet service requirements. The Contractor shall make available a back-up vehicle for disabled access. The vehicle shall fully conform to ADA requirements. The back-up vehicle shall be available within 20 minutes of dispatch.
Spare Vehicles. Contractor shall maintain in readiness at least one spare Collection vehicle, fueled, and ready to dispatch and replace any Collection vehicle which breaks down on route within reasonable time of a break down. Customers on that route shall receive Contract service before 8:00 p.m. that same day.
Spare Vehicles. The Contractor shall maintain a sufficient number of spare vehicles, for each vehicle type; to provide services to the District should a vehicle be removed from service for any reason. The spare vehicles shall be maintained by the Contractor at no incremental cost to the District. At a minimum, the Contractor must have at least one spare vehicle for every 10 vehicles, or portion thereof, by vehicle capacity. For example, if there are seven (7) 20- passenger buses, the Contractor would be required to have at least one (1) spare 20-passenger bus. If there were thirteen 20-passenger buses, there would be a requirement for two (2) spare 20-passenger buses.
