Spare Part Interchangeability Clause Samples
The Spare Part Interchangeability clause ensures that replacement parts supplied under a contract are compatible and can be used interchangeably with the original parts provided. In practice, this means that any spare parts delivered must fit and function properly within the existing equipment or systems, without requiring modifications or special adjustments. This clause is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and minimizing downtime, as it guarantees that replacements can be readily integrated, thereby reducing the risk of incompatibility and associated costs.
Spare Part Interchangeability. All systems and spare parts delivered under this contract shall be form, fit, and function interchangeable and without degradation of performance with previously fielded systems and spare parts of the same kind down to the spare part level, as established by the current maintenance concept of the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army maintenance concepts for the FWS-I are detailed in paragraph 3.5.5 and Appendix A.
