SOW AMENDMENTS Clause Samples

The SOW Amendments clause defines the process for making changes to the Statement of Work (SOW) after the contract has been executed. Typically, this clause outlines how either party can propose modifications, the required documentation or approval process, and any limitations or conditions for such amendments. For example, it may require that all changes be made in writing and signed by both parties to be effective. The core function of this clause is to ensure that any adjustments to the scope, deliverables, or timelines are formally agreed upon, thereby preventing misunderstandings and disputes over project expectations.

SOW AMENDMENTS. If the Parties desire to amend an SOW, they may do so, but such amendment will only be effective following the execution of a written amended SOW by both Parties. An amendment may include additions or changes to Services, Resources, payments and/or other provisions. If Customer desires that Services be changed, then Customer will submit a request for such change in the form of a written change order. C7 will respond in writing to Customer within five (5) business days of each submitted change order request either accepting or denying the change order. If the change is accepted by C7, then C7 will prepare an amendment to the SOW specifying the additions or changes to the Services, Resources, payments and/or other provisions, as the case may be as well as any additional fees, charges and expenses resulting from the change order, if any.
SOW AMENDMENTS. Change orders are not anticipated, however, if one becomes necessary, such work must be authorized by the State in writing before such work can proceed and requires an SOW Amendment to the SOW Agreement. Reference Attachment D3.
