Source Quality Control Sample Clauses
The SOURCE QUALITY CONTROL clause establishes standards and procedures to ensure that all materials, products, or services provided by a supplier meet specified quality requirements before they are delivered or incorporated into a project. Typically, this clause outlines the methods for inspection, testing, and approval at the source of production, and may require suppliers to provide documentation or allow buyer representatives to conduct audits. Its core practical function is to prevent substandard goods or services from entering the supply chain, thereby reducing the risk of defects, delays, or additional costs later in the process.
Source Quality Control. 1. Testing laboratory shall provide continuous inspection at concrete batch plant for all structural concrete, defined as follows:
a. Footings, foundation walls, floor slabs‐on‐grade, exterior reinforced slabs.
Source Quality Control. A. Inspection and testing will be performed under provisions of Section 014000.
B. Testing Laboratory will:
1. Review manufacturer's test reports for compliance with specified requirements.
2. Verify material identification.
3. Inspect high-strength bolted connections as required by CBC Section 1701A for conformance with RCSC Specification. Bolts in connections identified, as shear/bearing need not be inspected for bolt tension.
4. Inspect welding as required by CBC Section 1701A in accordance with AWS D1.1. The following should be performed for each weld:
a. Verify Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) sheet has been provided and has been reviewed with each welder performing the weld. Welds not executed in conformance with the WPS are rejectable.
b. Verify fit-up meets tolerances of WPS and mark joint prior to welding.
c. Verify welding consumables per Contract Documents and WPS.
d. Verify welder qualification and identification.
e. Verify amperage and voltage at the arc with hand-held meters.
f. Observe preheat and interpass temperatures, weld pass sequence and size of weld bead.
5. Nondestructive test all complete penetration groove welds larger than 5/16 inches by ultrasonic methods for conformance with the weld quality and standard of acceptance of AWS D1.1 for welds subject to tensile stress. Pass sound through the entire weld volume from two crossing directions to extent feasible.
6. Periodically, inspect and test stud welding as required by CBC Section 1701A in accordance with AWS D1.1; review preproduction testing and qualification, periodically inspect welding and perform verification inspection and testing.
Source Quality Control. 1 Upon request, provide Contract Administrator with certified copy of mill test report of reinforcing steel, showing physical and chemical analysis. .2 Upon request inform Contract Administrator of proposed source of material to be supplied.
Source Quality Control. A. The instrument air compressor package unit assembly and appurtances shall be factory tested for performance. The Engineer reserves the right to witness the factory tests. Inform the Project Representative and the Engineer at least 30 days prior to the factory testing.
Source Quality Control. A. Each pump shall be tested for performance at the factory to determine head versus capacity, efficiencies, and kilowatt draw required for the operating points that are specified. All tests shall be run in accordance with the Hydraulic Institute Standards. Testing shall also include the following: 1. Impeller, motor rating and electrical connections shall first be checked for compliance to the
Source Quality Control. 1. Testing and inspection:
a) Nondestructive-test requirements for welded members:
(1) Perform the following:
(2) Tension butt welds in fracture-critical nonredundant members and member components of structures subject to repetitive dynamic loading: 100 percent of welds inspected by radiographic and ultrasonic examination.
(3) Butt welds of flange material for compression and tension splices: 100 percent of welds inspected by ultrasonic examination.
(4) Butt welds for web splices beginning at point of maximum stress: 40 percent of welds inspected by ultrasonic examination.
(5) Fillet welds connecting web plates to flange plates: 25 percent of welds inspected by magnetic particle inspection.
(6) For all other fillet-weld connections: 10 percent of welds inspected by magnetic particle inspection.
(7) The Engineer may designate additional items to be inspected by radiography.
b) Mill testing:
(1) For identified stock materials provide three specimens from each heat number, one for tension test, one for bend test and one for Charpy V- notch impact test.
(2) Cut, machine and test specimens in accordance with ASTM A370.
(3) Perform Charpy V-notch impact test for tension flanges and other tension components of aerial structures in accordance with Table 05120-1.
Source Quality Control. 1. Shop test valves in accordance with the referenced AWWA or other standard.
Source Quality Control. Perform full-function testing on 100% of all lighting systems at the factory. Manufactured by an ISO 9001-2008 listed manufacturer
Source Quality Control. 5.2.1. Ensure that Work meets specified requirements
5.2.2. Schedule, supervise and administer inspection and testing as specified in Section 01 45 00.
Source Quality Control. A. The CWI shall be present whenever shop welding is performed. The CWI shall perform inspection at suitable intervals prior to assembly, during assembly, during welding, and after welding. CWI duties include: 1. Verifying conformance of specified job material and proper storage.
